Previously, Chris was the Director of Strategy and Worldwide Marketing of Retail Store Solutions. He also served as Director of Strategy for the Retail ON Demand Emerging Business Opportunity where he was responsible for developing strategy and managing the business partner ecosystem. In 1999, Chris led a team to identify an opportunity in the under-served food service segment. The team launched the SurePOS 500 POS solution which became the fastest selling product in the history of Retail Store Solutions and launched IBM as the worldwide top supplier for Point of Sale in the food service industry. Chris joined IBM as an intern in Los Angeles in 1984 and was hired after graduating from the University of Southern California. He worked as an IBM Client Sales Executive for six years before moving to Asia to manage his family's business. While in Asia, Chris helped form an IBM services and consulting practice in partnership with JDA Software Group, a leader in retail ERP solutions. He officially returned to IBM and the U.S. in 1999. Chris and his wife have three beautiful children and live in Connecticut.
